Focus and Scope

The Electronic Journal "Democracy, Law and Citizenship, University of Uberaba, is an instrument for promoting work of students, teachers and researchers in general, the area of law and other sciences that interact with the legal knowledge. Seeks to contribute to the improvement of scientific thought, through the sharing of ideas of scholars from various parts of the world, in their different proposals for theory and application of law, following the lines of research related to democracy, philosophy, process, the constitutionality and economic activities.

Peer Review Process

The Evaluation Policy, to follow the criteria of impartiality of the trial, takes the blind submission, ie without the evaluators may be aware of who presents the article. This ensures the fairness of the evaluation, commitment to science. Assessors are appointed by the Managing Editor, depending on the theme of the article, among the members of the Editorial Board, consisting of PhDs and Post-doctors belonging to different institutions in Brazil and abroad. In case of issues that require evaluation of a technical nature (eg, a subject related to medicine), ad hoc reviewers may be asked for their opinions.

Publication Frequency

The journal Democracy, Law and Citizenship is every six months, starting his publications in the 1st half of 2010.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate free access to its contents, following the principle that scientific knowledge available free to the public supports a greater global knowledge.

The journal "Democracy, Law and Citizenship" was conceived in 2009 with the aim of encouraging scientific research in Law, University of Uberaba, sharing knowledge with independent researchers or belonging to institutions of higher education nationally and internationally.
