Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished and is not being reviewed for publication elsewhere, otherwise it shall be justified in Comments to the Editor. "
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format, OpenOffice, or RTF (they do not exceed 2MB)
  • URLs for the references were informed when available.
  • The text is single-spaced, using a 12-point font; employs italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); figures and tables are inserted in the text, not the end of the document as attachments.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines in About the Journal.
  • In case of submission to a section with peer review (eg articles), the instructions available in Ensuring a Blind Peer were followed.

Author Guidelines

The submission of papers should follow the steps indicated by the system standard of the journal Democracy, Law and Citizenship, see Information for Authors. Articles submitted for publication should be maximum 30 pages and at least 10 pages, including spaces, graphs, figures, bibliography, footnotes, anexos.Os texts that exceed the number of pages could be made available in more than one edition so fractionated, for example, Article X - Part 1 / Part 2 and so on. The text should be preceded by two abstracts of 120 words in the language of the article and one of the other languages adopted by the journal. The abstracts are followed by the two keywords languages.The bibliography at the end of the text must be in accordance with the ABNT.
