Abstract

Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a irradiância (mW/cm²), o espectro de emissão (mW/nm), a exposição radiante (J/cm²), o perfil do feixe e a profundidade de cura de uma resina composta fotopolimerizada utilizando diferentes unidades de fotopolimerização por LED (LCUs) de baixo custo. Materiais e Métodos: Foram testados os seguintes dispositivos: Dental Wireless; LY-A180; LY-B200. As unidades VALO (polionda) e Elipar DeepCure-L (monoonada) foram utilizadas como grupos controle. A irradiância, o espectro de emissão e a exposição radiante foram avaliados utilizando o MARC Resin Calibrator. O teste de microdureza Knoop avaliou a profundidade de cura e o módulo elástico. Os dados de profundidade de cura foram analisados pelos testes de Shapiro–Wilk, Levene, ANOVA, Tukey HSD (α = 0,05) e análise de regressão linear múltipla. Resultados: VALO e Elipar DeepCure-L apresentaram uma saída radiante homogênea. A ANOVA mostrou que as LCUs e a profundidade da restauração (p < 0,001) foram significativas, mas a interação não foi significativa. A regressão linear múltipla mostrou relação significativa entre o módulo elástico, a irradiância e a profundidade da restauração (p = 0,350). Conclusões: Os testes de profundidade de cura demonstraram que as LCUs de menor custo avaliadas apresentaram resultados satisfatórios; entretanto, quando todas as variáveis foram comparadas, elas apresentaram desempenho inferior em relação às LCUs utilizadas como controle.

She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Dentistry at the University of Brasília, with a research focus on Restorative Dentistry.

Stella Sueli Lourenço Braga , Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - UFU, Uberlândia-MG, Brasil

Dentist with master's and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Dentistry from the Federal University of Uberlândia, including a doctoral internship at Dalhousie University, Canada. She has research experience in Restorative Dentistry and Biomechanics Applied to Dentistry. Currently, she works as Scientific Affairs Education at 3M, focusing on scientific education and technical-scientific support.
