Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of silane and temperature, as well as a new combined etch-and-prime product, on the bond strength between glass ceramic and resin cement. Thirty-five ceramic discs (12 mm × 2 mm) were randomly assigned to seven groups (n = 5) according to surface treatment: 1 – Sandblasted, 2 – Sandblasted + silane, 3 – Sandblasted + silane + heating (60 °C), 4 – Hydrofluoric acid (HF), 5 – HF + silane, 6 – HF + silane + heating (60 °C), and 7 – Etch & prime. Resin cement was applied in cylindrical molds (0.75 × 0.50 mm) at five locations on each disc and photoactivated.
