Publication Ethics and Editorial Best Practices Policy
The Journal of Engineering, Information Technology and Innovation (RETII) is committed to the principles of integrity, transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in research and scholarly communication.
The journal follows internationally recognized principles of publication ethics, taking into account the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applicable laws and regulations.
Authors' Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for the originality and integrity of their submitted manuscripts, the accuracy of the information presented, the proper acknowledgment of sources, and compliance with ethical standards governing scientific research.
Manuscripts must present original and unpublished work and must not be simultaneously submitted for evaluation to other journals.
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the research and the preparation of the manuscript and must take responsibility for the published content.
Plagiarism and Research Integrity
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, improper manipulation of results, redundant publication, or any other practices that compromise research integrity.
Manuscripts may undergo text similarity checks during the editorial process. Any detected similarities will be assessed in context and will not, on their own, constitute evidence of plagiarism.
Research Involving Human Participants or Animals
Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards, laws, and regulations.
When approval from a competent research ethics committee is required, authors must provide information regarding such approval and, where appropriate, submit supporting documentation.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any personal, academic, professional, institutional, or financial circumstances that may constitute conflicts of interest and potentially compromise the impartiality of the editorial process.
Reviewers' and Editors' Responsibilities
Reviewers must provide well-founded, objective, and respectful evaluations, maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
The editorial team must ensure transparency and impartiality throughout the review process while respecting the confidentiality of information and the independence of editorial decisions.
Corrections and Retractions
If significant errors or irregularities are identified after publication, the journal may take appropriate editorial action, including issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, depending on the nature and severity of the issue.
