Abstract

In today’s globalized world, the importance of safeguarding sensitive data and the exponential growth of such data have become essential concerns. The ability to collect, manage, and interpret this information is fundamental to strategic decision-making. In this context, Business Intelligence emerges as a tool that streamlines internal optimization processes and fosters continuous growth in the field. Therefore, the objective of this work is to present a course platform focused on Business Intelligence. It aims to welcome new enthusiasts and beginners into the world of data, offering ways to enhance or acquire new knowledge, while also keeping professionals up to date with tools and market insights.

Graduated in Information Systems from Universidade de Uberaba.

Luiz Fernando Ribeiro de Paiva, Universidade de Uberaba

Ph.D. in Education from Universidade de Uberaba (UNIUBE). Master’s degree in Information Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (PUC-CAMPINAS). Specialist in Higher Education Assessment from Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Specialist in Systems Analysis from Universidade de Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP). Completed advanced training in Distance Education at Universidade de Uberaba (UNIUBE). Holds a degree in Data Processing Technology from Universidade de Uberaba (UNIUBE). Coordinator of the Information Systems, Digital Games, and Systems Analysis and Development programs at UNIUBE. Works as a systems analyst at Companhia de Desenvolvimento de Informática de Uberaba. Has experience in the fields of Information Systems, Higher Education, and Distance Education.

Andre Luís Silva de Paula, Universidade de Uberaba

Holds short Degree in Science (1985), Full Degree in Mathematics (1989), Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy (2017), Technologist in Human Resources Management (2021), and Technologist in Information Technology Management (2023), all from Universidade de Uberaba – Uniube. Holds a postgraduate degree in Systems Analysis from UNAERP. Full professor at Universidade de Uberaba in the Information Systems, Computer Engineering, and Digital Games programs. Has experience in the field of Computer Science, mainly in the following areas: mathematics, computer science, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, mathematical modeling, systems analysis, systems development, mobile programming, and technology/education. He served as Manager of Information and Communication Technology in Distance Education (ICT DE) and currently holds the position of Relationship Manager at the Directorate of Digital Transformation, both in the administrative area of Universidade de Uberaba. Has extensive experience in the development of applications for distance education (DE), having actively participated in the ideation, conception, and development of the technical and pedagogical design of the Virtual Learning Environment of Universidade de Uberaba – AVA UNIUBE. Currently, he works directly in Relationship Management with Uniube students.
