Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

GUIDELINES

1) Articles, Experience Reports

1.1 Submissions for publication should be no more than 30 (thirty) pages and no fewer than 10 (ten) pages, including spaces, charts, figures, bibliography, footnotes, and appendices.

1.2 The text should include:

a) Title in Portuguese, English, and Spanish (with a maximum of 15 – fifteen – words). Use capital letters only for the first letter, proper nouns, or acronyms.

b) Abstract in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, containing up to 150 (one hundred fifty) words, highlighting the objective, method, results, and conclusions. The first sentence should be significant, explaining the main topic of the text.

c) Keywords (up to five) in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, listed below the abstract, separated by semicolons and ending with a period. They should be written in lowercase, except for proper nouns and scientific names.

d) The body of the text should minimally include an introduction, methodology, results, and conclusion.

e) References, according to the updated ABNT standards (NBR 6023 2018/2020), using the alphabetical system, presented at the end of the text. Highlights should be in italics, not bold.

2) Interview

The interview should include: abstract (in Portuguese, English, and Spanish), keywords (Portuguese, English, and Spanish), and a presentation of the interviewee.

3) review 

The review should be four to six pages long, indicating: title of the review (in Portuguese, English, and Spanish); bibliographic data of the reviewed publication.

Author Identification

Information in the text or references that might identify the authors should be omitted, using XXX, and sent separately in a supplementary document with the appropriate indication.

Author identification data must be entered directly into the appropriate fields on the article and author(s) registration page on the journal's portal, including full name, postal address, telephone, and email for reader contact, ORCID, a brief curriculum description, and institutional affiliation. This information should not be included in the Word file (or compatible format) that will be submitted through the portal.

FORMAT

  1. Type the text in Times New Roman font, size 12, with a line spacing of 1.5 cm for the main text, and for direct quotes, font size 11, with a line spacing of 1.0 cm. Top/left margins of 3.0 cm and bottom/right margins of 2.0 cm. Paper size A4 (21.0 cm x 29.7 cm).
  2. Use italics only for emphasis or highlighting in the body of the text.
  3. Citations should follow NBR 10520 (2023) of ABNT, indicated in the text by the author-date citation system. Direct quotes (textual transcriptions from the consulted author’s work), up to three lines, should be enclosed in double quotation marks and indicated by citations like this: (Author, year, p. page). Indirect quotes (text based on the consulted author’s work) should only indicate the author and year of the work.
  4. Insert illustrations (figures, tables, charts, maps, etc.) directly into the text. These should be of good quality, including title, caption, and source. In the case of photographs, the photographer’s name and permission for the image use are required, as well as consent from photographed individuals if facial recognition is possible.
  5. Footnotes should be inserted on the page where they are referenced.

Articles

Articles must be at least 10 (ten) pages and no more than 30 (thirty) pages, including references and notes.

Documents

The Documents section is intended for the circulation of federal, state, and municipal legislative texts, as well as texts of a political-educational nature resulting from the mentioned spheres, scientific associations, or those with sociological-educational, historical-educational, psychological-educational, among others, content, from national or international origins.

Dossier

Publication resulting from a Public Call, via Announcement, following specific guidelines.

Interview

The journal also publishes interviews with prominent researchers and scholars in the field of education.

Review

In this section, critical reviews of books in the field of education and related areas are published. They should be between 4 and 6 pages.

Experience Report

Experience reports must be at least 15 (fifteen) pages and no more than 30 (thirty) pages, including references and notes.

Thesis and Dissertation Abstracts

Publication of thesis and dissertation abstracts with the aim of broadening the dissemination of scientific research.

Include the full reference of the thesis or dissertation.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
