Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.-
1 - Register in the system to submit the manuscript and track the editorial process in progress. Access using an existing account or register a new one.
2 - Submission must be original and unpublished. Otherwise, this must be justified in “Comments to the Editor.”
3 - Certification that all author identification data has been removed from the file and from the Word "Properties" option, ensuring blind peer review.
4 - A maximum of three authors per submission, with at least one holding a doctoral degree.
5 - Complete filling of metadata in the system.
6 - Ethics Committee approval certificate must be provided when the research involves human subjects. (Upload under “Supplementary Documents”).
7 - Manuscripts must align with the journal’s focus and scope. Articles lacking the necessary characteristics of scientific production will not be accepted; nor will articles already published in national journals; thesis or dissertation chapters; final course papers; or papers previously published in conference proceedings without proper restructuring and footnote referencing to the event on the first page.
8 - Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is original, not under review by another journal; for the ethical aspects of the research; and for the ideas, data, opinions, concepts, and accuracy of references presented.
9 - Publication implies full transfer of copyright to the journal.
10 - Authors must observe a minimum interval of one year between publications in this journal.
11 - The manuscript follows the guidelines described in the “Author Guidelines.”
Articles
Articles must be at least 10 (ten) pages and no more than 30 (thirty) pages, including references and notes.
Documents
The Documents section is intended for the circulation of federal, state, and municipal legislative texts, as well as texts of a political-educational nature resulting from the mentioned spheres, scientific associations, or those with sociological-educational, historical-educational, psychological-educational, among others, content, from national or international origins.
Dossier
Publication resulting from a Public Call, via Announcement, following specific guidelines.
Interview
The journal also publishes interviews with prominent researchers and scholars in the field of education.
Review
In this section, critical reviews of books in the field of education and related areas are published. They should be between 4 and 6 pages.
Experience Report
Experience reports must be at least 15 (fifteen) pages and no more than 30 (thirty) pages, including references and notes.
Thesis and Dissertation Abstracts
Publication of thesis and dissertation abstracts with the aim of broadening the dissemination of scientific research.
Include the full reference of the thesis or dissertation.
Copyright Notice
Texts submitted and approved by the Editorial Board of the Revista Profissão Docente will be published, and their authors may use them for subsequent publications, always citing the original edition (title, Revista Profissão Docente, volume, issue, year of publication, and pagination of the referenced text). All articles in this journal are the sole responsibility of their authors, and the journal or the University of Uberaba bear no legal responsibility for their content.
