Abstract

This study presents a proposal for the development of a digital online recharge system for transportation cards used by the concessionaire company of urban public transportation in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The initiative aims to contribute to the modernization of urban mobility in medium-sized cities through the integration of digital payment technologies and data management systems. The study is grounded in theoretical models of technology acceptance, security standards for financial transactions, and data protection guidelines, while also considering the use of the General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) standard to optimize urban mobility management. The methodology includes defining the system architecture, adopting agile development practices, and analyzing security and regulatory compliance requirements in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Expected results include increased convenience for users, reduced operational costs, and progress in the digitalization of public transportation services. Thus, the study proposes a technological model with potential for replication in other medium-sized urban contexts.
