Abstract

This work is the result of a master's dissertation in education whose methodology was participant research in a municipal school in Uberaba-MG. The activities took place in the first year of primary school in 2023. The "Ciranda das Pretas" project is a pedagogical teaching strategy for valuing black women. The activities were aimed at practising the history of nine black women in everyday school life. Aimed at the early years, the pedagogical activities were allied to different areas of knowledge such as maths, Portuguese, history and geography. Our teaching and learning activities emphasised the didactic planning that resulted from reading, reflection and the creation of actions based on the protagonism of black feminism. We conclude that it is important to study black personalities such as writers, authors, scientists and other heroines.
